Kasra Dash (born 10 November 1997) is an Iranian-born British entrepreneur and search engine optimisation (SEO) consultant based in Manchester, England.[1][2] Raised in Scotland from the age of three, he began building websites at 15, moved into SEO in 2018 and is best known as the founder of The Masterminders, an annual SEO and digital marketing conference held in Manchester, and of mySEO.app, an invite-only community app for verified SEO professionals.[3][11][13]

Kasra Dash is co-founder and SEO strategist of the link building agency Searcharoo, co-founder of the accountancy firm TaxBite, and an SEO strategist for the lead generation company FatRank, all of which are connected to his mentor since 2019, James Dooley.[9][7][2] He has co-authored three SEO books with Dooley, hosts the YouTube interview series The Business Dash With Kasra, and since 2025 has focused on "AI search visibility" through the paid community The New Search and its desktop tool Rank OS.[16][20][14][15] In March 2024 national newspapers profiled him as a "self-made millionaire at 26" who "learned everything on YouTube", and on 18 August 2026 a press release announced him as the new "King of SEO" following the abdication of David G. Quaid.[4][5][22]

Early life and education [edit]

Kasra Dash was born in Tehran, Iran, on 10 November 1997 and emigrated with his family to Scotland in 2000, at the age of three, where he spent his childhood and schooling.[2][3] He has described himself as having struggled in traditional education.[6] As a teenager he bought used cars for £400 to £500 through Gumtree auctions, repaired them and resold them, using the proceeds to buy his first computer.[6][4] He began building websites in 2012, at 15, teaching himself from online tutorials and forums.[1][3]

He studied Interactive Media Design at Edinburgh Napier University, graduating in 2018.[1][6] At 18 he moved to Northampton, where he lived for two years without knowing anyone, a decision he later listed among his "life lessons" for forcing him to develop socially; at 20 he settled in Manchester, where he has lived since.[1][29]

Career [edit]

Web development and first ventures

Kasra Dash's first paid work was in web design, initially building brochure websites. He has said he "blagged" that he had experience and then taught himself each task on YouTube as it arose.[6][4] At 18 or 19 he accepted an e-commerce build despite having only produced brochure sites, and the six-month project paid about £5,000, which he has described as substantial money in 2018.[29] He worked as a PHP developer before moving into search marketing.[9] He also ran a Facebook advertising agency that reached about £20,000 a month in revenue before Apple's iOS privacy changes undermined its lead generation model and forced a restart, an episode he cites as evidence that "progress is not linear".[29]

Entry into SEO and James Dooley

Kasra Dash discovered SEO in 2018 and, by his own account, "became deeply involved in testing algorithms" rather than following published advice.[1][3] In 2019, aged 19 or 20, he met the Salford entrepreneur James Dooley, founder of FatRank and PromoSEO, at a private mastermind. Dooley became his mentor and, in Kasra Dash's words, "fast-tracked" his career; Dooley is credited with shaping his approach to delegation and strategy.[1][29][2] By 2020 he was networking intensively in the SEO community, and his first recorded podcast appearance was on Craig Campbell's Digital Marketing Podcast in November 2019.[3][2]

His consultancy, run through kasradash.com, offers SEO strategy, technical audits, link building, local SEO and topical authority work, with a stated specialism in recovering websites hit by Google algorithm updates. The site claims that 14,700 business owners use his "SEO system" and publishes three case studies: a local business reporting 142 leads and £123,300 a month, a Shopify store reporting 150,000 monthly organic visitors and £210,000 a month, and a dental practice reporting 67 leads and £115,000 a month.[1] These figures are self-reported.

Searcharoo, FatRank and rank-and-rent

Kasra Dash is co-founder and SEO strategist at Searcharoo, a Manchester white-label link building and content agency of which Dooley is chairman, where he "oversees all client campaigns and testing protocols".[9][8] Searcharoo's profile of him states that he part-owns a rank-and-rent agency with Dooley, owns "650+" rank-and-rent websites, has generated "over 2 million organic leads" for businesses in the UK, Canada and Australia, and analyses 30 to 40 websites after each algorithm update from what it calls "the biggest pool of test sites" for observing Google's algorithm.[9] He released a course, Link Building PhD, through IMG Courses.[9] He is also listed as an SEO strategist and content contributor for FatRank and PromoSEO, and is credited on the FatRank Podcast as a recurring expert on entity SEO, AI content, pay-per-sale lead models and sector-specific growth.[1][3][28]

Press profiles in 2024 reported that he owned a link building agency, an interest in Searcharoo and PromoSEO, and a software business valued at £4.6 million, and put his net worth at £3 million.[6][4] His own site states that he has scaled "$10M+" of affiliate websites, including iGaming affiliates.[1][9]

TaxBite

Kasra Dash co-founded TaxBite, an accountancy firm aimed at start-ups, and applied his rank-and-rent model to it. In March 2023 Business Cheshire reported that TaxBite had opened a Manchester office on Lower Byrom Street, had grown to five locations (Bolton, Manchester, London, Solihull and Durham) within a year, had helped 18 north-west businesses claim R&D tax credits, and claimed over £11 million in total tax savings for clients. The same report, written by Dooley, said Kasra Dash had generated "over £4 million in lead generation for accountants through SEO".[7] Kasra Dash has said the venture taught him that "finding a good operator is easy, but marketing is the hard part".[1]

The Masterminders

The Masterminders was founded by Kasra Dash on 7 November 2023 as a small private mastermind meetup in Chiang Mai, Thailand, held alongside the Chiang Mai SEO conference. Further meetups in Thailand and Saigon, Vietnam, followed before it became an annual conference in Manchester.[11][3] The 2025 edition drew about 150 attendees; the organisers claim that 80 per cent of them rated it the best SEO conference they had attended.[11]

The Masterminders 2026 ran from 24 to 26 June 2026 at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate as a three-day event: an application-only mastermind day capped at seven people per table, a VIP workshop day limited to 80 people, and a main conference day. Tickets ranged from £295 to £795. The line-up included Kyle Roof, James Dooley, Koray Tuğberk Gübür, Fery Kaszoni, Andrew Holland, Sean Bianco, Aaron Branch, Oliver Kenyon, Nathan Gotch, Anni Ma, Shivani Chettri, Abigail Dooley, Gemma Sutherland and Josh Thomas, with Craig Campbell as MC, and the organisers expected 250 to 300 attendees from more than 25 countries.[11][12][34] The event is a member of Manchester Digital and is organised with event manager Lily Nguyen.[34][11] Its focus is described as semantic SEO, topical authority, entity optimisation, digital PR and AI-supported workflows.[12]

mySEO.app

mySEO.app is an invite-only mobile community for SEO professionals, agencies, operators and suppliers, created by Kasra Dash and launched on 20 May 2025, with iOS and Android apps published in April 2026.[1][13] It is free to join but requires an invite code or waiting-list approval, and offers weekly live workshops, a replay library, an AI-moderated feed, a directory of vetted vendors and in-person meetups. As of 2026 the platform claims more than 4,950 verified members in 19 or more countries and over 275 live sessions a month.[13]

The New Search and Rank OS

In 2025 Kasra Dash's public work shifted from Google rankings to what he calls "AI search visibility": getting a brand named or cited in the answers produced by ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI.[14][15] The New Search is a paid community on the Skool platform, priced at $59 a month, in which he shares weekly live calls, his current test results and a free "AI SEO sheet", and which advertises a "cited within 30 days or your money back" guarantee. In September 2026 it listed 21 members and stated that the price would rise after 30.[14][32]

Rank OS (getrankos.com) is a desktop application for Mac and Windows bundled with the community. It supplies ready-made prompts, checks and citation audits that run inside the AI interfaces themselves, with new tools and lessons added weekly. Its tagline is that "the goal is not ranking anymore. It is getting named".[15] Kasra Dash's own ranking of "AI SEO Skool groups" places The New Search first, which readers should weigh as a first-party assessment.[24]

Investments

Kasra Dash describes himself as an angel investor in digital businesses. Named holdings include Searcharoo, the AI writing platform Autoblogging.ai (whose backers also include Dooley, Scott Calland and Karl Hudson), the digital PR firm Discovery, and the university-sector ventures Uni Play and Uni Stage.[1][30][8][3] In a 2025 podcast he also mentioned investments in an accountancy firm and a manufacturing company.[25]

Kasra Dash has co-authored three self-published SEO books with James Dooley, all sold through Amazon in Kindle, paperback and, for two of them, hardcover editions.[16][17] On Goodreads the three titles average 4.85 out of 5 from 47 ratings.[18]

Kasra Dash has spoken at SEO and affiliate marketing conferences across Europe and Asia since 2023. At brightonSEO in September 2023 he presented "Website recoveries: strategies for sustainable growth" and sat on an e-commerce panel with Grace Frohlich and Julien Deneuville.[10] His personal site lists eleven verified engagements.[19][2]

YouTube and The Business Dash

Kasra Dash's YouTube channel, @kasradash, had about 36,900 subscribers in August 2026.[2][31] Its content covers AI-era SEO, semantic content, topical authority, alternatives to keyword research and audits of how brands appear in ChatGPT. After 18 months of daily uploads he stopped the daily schedule, citing burnout, in favour of less frequent videos.[3] The channel hosts The Business Dash With Kasra, an interview series with SEOs and business owners whose guests have included Kyle Roof, Lily Ray, Koray Tuğberk Gübür, Patrick Stox, Craig Campbell, Julian Goldie, Fery Kaszoni, Karl Hudson, Ryan Stewart, Lara Acosta, Gareth Hoyle, Jason Hennessey and Gary Wilson.[20]

He has also appeared on the Online Reputation Management Podcast, Navneet Kaushal's podcast, Affiliate BI, Adsy Talks and Jeremy Rivera's Unscripted SEO, where he argued that "the links that move rankings are rarely the links that are easiest to get".[26][1]

Press coverage

On 7 March 2024 The Sun ran a profile headlined "Self-made millionaire at 26 who learned everything on YouTube", followed on 11 March by the Manchester Evening News ("I'm a millionaire at 26 – I learned everything I know on YouTube") and DESIblitz, and in June 2024 by Market Realist.[21][4][5][6][27] The pieces reported a net worth of £3 million, a 5 am gym routine and his advice that "if you want to earn a lot of money, you need to have a high tolerance for stress".[6] Earlier coverage in Business Cheshire concerned TaxBite's Manchester launch (March 2023) and his Search Birmingham award (July 2023).[7][8]

The "King of SEO" title is a tongue-in-cheek honorific passed between practitioners rather than an award from an independent body. The August 2026 release quoted Quaid as saying "every great reign needs a worthy successor" and that Kasra Dash was "well positioned to lead the way" as AI reshapes search; PPC Land reported a 250 per cent rise in United States search interest for the phrase after the handover.[22][23][24]

Approach and views [edit]

Kasra Dash describes his method as test-driven: he runs a large pool of test sites, reviews dozens of them after each Google update and prefers "verifiable results obtained through direct experimentation" to received wisdom.[3][9] He has said that "the number one rule is speed", crediting Gary Wilson's Get Me Links, which shipped link batches in four weeks against competitors' two months, as the example that shaped his view, and he applies Parkinson's law by setting short deadlines.[1][29] On link building he holds that relevance, authority, placement, anchor context and velocity matter in combination, that directory-style tactics show diminishing returns, and that the more useful competitor analysis asks why a rival earned a link rather than what type it was.[26]

His published "life lessons" include working in a public-facing job, moving city young, finding a mentor, treating oneself as "the average of your five closest people", asking "the stupid questions" in masterminds, weighting data over anecdote, and "learn then earn", the last illustrated by his claim that The New Search only worked because it followed roughly ten years of practice.[29] Since 2025 he has argued that "lazy SEO is dead", that brands rather than pages win in AI-mediated search, and that "the goal is not ranking anymore. It is getting named".[2][15]

Reception [edit]

Within the UK SEO industry Kasra Dash is a frequent conference speaker and podcast guest, and is nicknamed "Mr. Everywhere" for the volume of his appearances.[25] Search Birmingham's organisers said his 2023 presentation "left a lasting impression on the audience", and brightonSEO's directory notes that he has "helped hundreds of businesses with SEO".[8][10] Manchester Digital lists The Masterminders as a member and promotes the conference on its events calendar.[34]

Much of the published praise originates from within his own network. The Business Cheshire pieces on TaxBite and the Search Birmingham award were written by James Dooley, the "Best 26 SEO Experts" list and the "King of SEO" announcement were distributed as paid press releases, and the ranking that places The New Search first among AI SEO communities appears on Kasra Dash's own site.[7][8][22][33][24] Revenue, lead and portfolio figures cited in this article are self-reported and have not been independently audited. Kasra Dash has himself observed that the industry has moved "from a cutthroat environment to a more collaborative and respectful one", and he emphasises personal branding as a business tool, an approach visible in the coordinated set of author, speaker, directory and encyclopaedia profiles maintained for him.[25][2]

Personal life [edit]

Kasra Dash lives in Manchester and has done so since the age of 20; he retains close ties to Scotland, where his family lives, and identifies as Scottish in professional biographies.[1][10] He is 1.83 m (6 ft) tall.[28] He trains at the gym from 5 am, does not drink alcohol, and has spoken about the effect of abstaining on his productivity and mental clarity.[6][25] He has described himself as competitive, saying he "hates losing", and lists travel, fitness and personal growth among his interests.[9][1]
